✨ Most yoga practices begin with some variation of Sun Salutations A and B to warm up the muscles and connect to the breath... but they can be so much more!
⚓ The repetition and consistency of these sequences act as both a mental and physical anchor, cueing our mind and body to arrive in the present. Because the pattern is familiar, each movement becomes a tool to recognize and assess minute shifts within ourselves and observe how physical or psychological stressors manifest in the body.
🧘 With consistency of practice, these sequences become a sort of physical mantra, allowing us to practice returning to a state of calm focus under any stressor. 🌿
