We remember Cpl. Michael Starker and Cpl. Andrew Eykelenboom, killed in Afghanistan, as they served their country with the Canadian Armed Forces as Paramedics overseas.

The EMS Foundation is proud to offer ten tickets to the First Responders Mental Health Conference, November 17th and 18th, 2025, in Calgary, AB. The is able to provide tickets for conference entry only, no other expenses can be reimbursed.

Please send your expression of interest to info@emsfoundation.ca no later than 5:00pm on November 12, 2025, at which time 10 single ticket entries will be randomly drawn. Successful applicants will be notified by email.

This event celebrates the superior work of Paramedics, Firefighters, Emergency Communications Officers, first responders, and bystanders who have exemplified excellence in what they do, representing their links in the "Chain of Survival" with knowledge, experience, practice, and dedication. The EHS Science and Research Team was proud to present 120 awards this year. The has proudly sponsored this event since its inception in 2022.

Today honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors who did, and their families and communities who continue to face the trauma they endured.

raises awareness about the intergenerational impacts of residential schools on children, families, and communities. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced and reminds us Every Child Matters.

The recognizes that taking time to remember and learn about this point in history is an important part of moving towards reconciliation.
