Hi and welcome 🤍

I’m Melissa a therapist — but I’m also a human.

A woman in her 30s still growing, still learning, still doing my own work. I care deeply about connection, self-awareness, and creating spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest.

Everyone’s talking about lately… but is cutting people off really the answer?

“You owe them nothing.”
“Cut them off at the first red flag.”
“Protect your peace.”

✅ When it might be emotional avoidance
✅ Risks of overusing
✅ How therapy can help you navigate tough relationships thoughtfully

It’s normal to feel tired, unmotivated, or just… not ready to hustle at the start of the year. After a busy season, your body and mind might need rest more than productivity — and that’s completely okay.

Part of a New Year Recharge is giving yourself permission to slow down, reflect, and care for yourself. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Reaching out for support — whether it’s talking to a therapist, a friend, or someone you trust — isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a way to protect your energy, set healthy boundaries, and move forward with more ease.

💌 Feeling like you need some guidance or just someone to talk to? Send me a DM — therapy can be a space to recharge, not just “fix” things.

Sometimes what we call “bad habits” are actually ways our nervous system learned to protect us.

Procrastination, overthinking, shutting down — they’re not flaws, they’re memories of what once felt unsafe.

Not all trauma is loud. Sometimes it hides in our patterns and reactions — the quiet ways we learned to survive.

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding yourself. Asking, “What did this once do for me?”

Change comes from compassion, not control.
When your body feels safe again, it lets go on its own. 🤍

It’s okay to feel all of this. 💛To miss, hope, overthink, or hesitate. This is human. You’re human. That’s enough.
