CCSP®, FAKTR, Graston, Rocktape, Rockpods, Kinesiotape, Laser, Chiropractic Services Abroad. Dr. Jas is a full-time chiropractor and partner at the Sunridge Mall location. A born and raised Calgarian, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary before obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s West Campus in San Jose, California, in 2012. In the years since, Dr. Jas has completed a variety of courses and certifications to remain current in her treatment approach. These include achieving board certification as a CCSP® (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®), becoming certified in laser therapy, receiving accreditation in both Graston and FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation) which are two of the many soft tissue therapies she employs in practice, and completing courses in various kinesiology taping procedures, including RockTape. Dr. Jas provides an evidence-based, holistic, personalized approach to Chiropractic care, including manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy, taping and rehabilitation exercises. Her goal is not only to treat injuries, but also to prevent future injuries by maintaining a healthy, pain-free lifestyle, and assisting patients in achieving their personal health goals – whether that is to go for a walk with grandchildren or complete a triathlon. At Palmer West, Dr. Jas was a member of the prestigious Sports Council, held a position on the Student Government, founded the campus Soccer Club as well as the Co-Ed Soccer team, and had the opportunity to travel to Honduras with the Clinic Abroad program, where she provided chiropractic care at local hospitals, orphanages and fitness gyms. Since graduating, Dr. Jas has continued pursuing her passion for providing healthcare to underserved populations, most recently having completed an outreach in remote villages in Laos in 2017. In her spare time, Dr. Jas enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her energetic Labradoodle, Opie, as well as playing soccer.
