Science concept #4 - Metabolic Health. Cancer treatments cause a lot of inflammation, and chemotherapy is known to cause blood sugar issues, loss of muscle, and weight gain. In the long term, this can influence your risk of cancer recurrence. Taking these changes seriously is an investment in your long term health.

Science concept 2 - damaged mitochondria cause more inflammation in the body, and can lead to chronic disease and many side effects. Exercise with the goal of building muscle is the most effective way to affect mitochondria. Time to get buff!

New year. New brand. A clearer vision for cancer care.
I’m excited to introduce The Integrative Oncology Lab—a space designed for thoughtful inquiry, evidence-based practice, and education. In a laboratory, ideas are examined, research is tested, and findings are translated into real-world application. That same philosophy guides this work.
Integrative oncology is one of the fastest-growing areas of cancer research, and keeping up can feel overwhelming. My role is to translate that science for you—highlighting therapies that are research-backed, safe, and practical, and that can meaningfully support how you feel before, during, and after cancer treatment.
2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year. My new book, Beyond Cancer Fatigue: A Path to Reclaiming Energy, is now available for pre-order on Amazon, and I’ll be sharing conversations on multiple podcasts focused on whole-person cancer care.
This is a new way of thinking about cancer—one grounded in clarity, evidence, and compassion—so you can feel calm, informed, and confident in how you support yourself through this journey.
Follow here for cancer care, reimagined.

What is Integrative Oncology?

I consider myself extremely lucky to be working in a field that I am passionate about. Let me take a moment to tell you a little bit more about my field, and how I can help you or a loved one with cancer.

My area of expertise is integrative oncology. This means that I provide treatments and supportive care while people are going through conventional cancer treatments, and afterwards to help them recover from those treatments. The treatments I provide prevent or lessen the side effects of chemotherapy or radiation, and help you maintain a good quality of life. Treatments also strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation, which can help fight cancer.

When treatment is over, my role then shifts to helping you do everything possible to reduce your risk of recurrence. Mind/body therapies, exercise, nutrition, weight loss, and stress management play a big role in preventing recurrence, and I guide you through that, one step at a time.

They say that cancer is a journey, and so wherever you are in your journey, integrative oncology can likely play a role, and help to make it feel a lot less overwhelming.
