This patient had nice symmetry but was seeking a fuller proportion to her breasts. Dr. Whidden was able to achieve her desired outcome using a moderate profile, 345cc implant. This gave more fullness to the upper pole of her breasts, while balancing out her naturally fuller lower pole. The outcome looks beautifully balanced and proportionate on her frame.

Most people believe abdominoplasty surgery is purely to address loose skin. However, one of the top concerns of Dr. Whidden’s patients, is a persistently “domed” abdomen following pregnancy.
Pregnancy can stretch the fascia that supports your abdominal muscles, and because this tissue is not elastic, no amount of core training can fully fix it. During your abdominoplasty, Dr. Whidden repairs the muscle separation (diastasis) as well as tightens the fascia often leading to a stronger core and reduced back pain for many women. As you can see from this example, this also creates a tighter, flatter looking tummy.

Dr. Whidden will be away from the office this Thursday and Friday as he heads to Toronto for the 78th annual Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons conference. Dr. Whidden is part of a panel, sharing his internal processes for critiquing his results to predict optimal surgical outcomes.

Dr. Whidden looks forward to sharing the insight he has gained over the past two decades specializing in cosmetic surgery. Regardless of his success in the cosmetic arena, Dr. Whidden still critically observes his own methods and outcomes regularly. These systematic observations help him to continually fine tune his surgical techniques. As the saying goes: "Stagnation is not the absence of growth; it is the quiet resignation to comfort."

We have a couple of reasons to celebrate this amazing human! Trista is back from her maternity leave and it is also her 10 year anniversary today!

Technically, Trista is Dr. Whidden's "Medical Office Assistant" ~ but a more accurate title would be "Absolute Legend". Trista is loved by our patients and is someone you can always depend on in the office. We missed her terribly while she was away and are thrilled to have her back! Happy 10 year anniversary Trista! We couldn't do it without you. ☺️

Alongside every successful surgeon is an incredible nurse! Amanda just celebrated her 14 year anniversary of working with Dr. Whidden. Not only is she the first person you get to meet with before your consult with Dr. Whidden, she is one of his main surgical, OR nurses. Amanda is exceptional in every role she performs at MTPS and not only do we love and appreciate her, so do all of our patients.
