This is a Christmas tree cataract—a rare cataract with shimmering, multicolored lens crystals.

How does it affect vision?
In many cases, these cataracts are discovered during a routine eye exam and don't cause major vision problems, especially in the early stages.
If they become denser or cover more of the lens, you might notice symptoms such as:
- Blurred or cloudy vision.
- Increased sensitivity to bright lights and glare, especially at night.
- Seeing halos around lights.
- Colors appearing duller or distorted

To catch eye conditions like this early, make sure to get your routine eye exams.✨
