🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: June H. (Independent Senior Apartments)🌟
June has been supporting Saint Luke’s Place for years, and we are truly grateful for the heart, energy, and dedication she brings to our community 💛
Born in Yorkshire, England , June emigrated to Hespeler on her own at just 21 years old — an incredible journey, especially for a shy young woman. She worked in a local mill, where she met her husband, Jack. Together they built a life, raised two sons, Craig and Alan, and travelled much of the world .
A proud and well‑known Hespelerite, June is a valued member of St. James Church and has given back to her community in many ways, including volunteering at the Medical Daycare at CMH.
At Saint Luke’s Place, June has been a constant source of support — participating in fundraising initiatives like the Big Bike Ride for Heart & Stroke, volunteering at events, stepping up as a Tenant Floor Representative, and now lending her time in the Coffee Shop ☕🚴♀️
In her downtime, June enjoys Wordoku, Wii bowling, and staying active and engaged. She is, quote from friend Hazel- "quite simply, one hell of a good friend to Saint Luke’s Place and to many of us personally."
👏 Thank you, June, for your years of commitment, kindness, and community spirit. We are so lucky to have you!
