We watched in eager anticipation as seven little eggs incubated—and now the wait is over! 💛 These adorable chicks have officially hatched, and they’ve brought so many smiles and moments of joy to our home.
A heartfelt thank you to Mallory and our incredible Life Enrichment & Program team for bringing this fun, hands-on experience to our residents. What a beautiful way to celebrate the season of new beginnings! 🌼

There is something really special about watching music bring people together across generations 🎶

Our Tots and Tunes program has been doing just that by filling our space with familiar songs, gentle movement, and shared moments between little ones and older adults.

We have just a few spots left for the next gathering on Friday, April 17 from 1:30pm to 2:15pm at Saint Luke’s Place. The program is free for children ages 0 to 4 and welcomes families who would enjoy sharing music in a calm, intergenerational setting.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Paul – Board of Directors 🌟

Paul has deep roots in our community, having lived in Hespeler and the Puslinch Lake area for more than 70 years. His connection to long-term care is equally longstanding—beginning his career at Saint Luke’s Place in 1976, a place that has remained close to his heart ever since.

Paul’s career reflects both strong academic preparation and a lifelong commitment to seniors’ care. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from McMaster University, specializing in Health Sciences. In 1983, he was authorized by the Ontario Minister of Community & Social Services as a Long-Term Care Administrator, and later earned a Health Services Management Certificate from the Canadian College of Health Service Leaders.

Over the years, Paul has led seven not‑for‑profit long‑term care homes across Ontario. From 1987 to 2010, he served as CEO of St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, where he proudly guided fundraising and redevelopment efforts that resulted in a modern 378‑bed long‑term care home and two life‑lease buildings.

A respected leader and advocate in the sector, Paul served as President of OAHNSS (now AdvantAge Ontario) and volunteered on its Board for more than 30 years. His commitment to Saint Luke’s Place came full circle when he joined the Board of Directors in 2013, where he now serves as Chair of the Fundraising Committee, continuing to support the organization that launched his career.

At Saint Luke’s Place, our residents are part of our extended family—and just like family, they love celebrating life’s special moments together. 💕
Recently, our residents helped celebrate Cassandra, our Therapeutic Coordinator (Recreation), with a joyful baby shower 🍼🎉. What a wonderful time filled with smiles, laughter, and love!
