Your CPAP handles a lot of moisture every night, which is basically can be an open house invitation for mold and bacteria.

To keep things fresh, give your mask a quick daily wipe-down to remove skin oils and dump out any leftover water in your water chamber so it can dry.

Once a week, submerge and wash your mask, headgear, water chamber and tubing in warm, soapy water using a splash of mild soap. Give the hose a good scrub with a brush and hang it up to drip-dry.

Finally, do a monthly check on your water chamber, filters and silicone. If your filter is looking gray or your mask feels stiff, it’s time to swap them out! Check for any cracks on the bottom of your water chamber.
