LiftWerx is proud and excited to announce that the company has taken delivery of its first wind turbine nacelle! This General Electric nacelle is being installed at our headquarters in Cambridge, where it will be utilized extensively for technician training.

This is our first nacelle, but it won't be our last. As we continue to develop our LiftWerx Academy, more nacelles will be added to our inventory in the future.

Our large corrective teams travel all over North America. The teams are well-tooled, highly-structured, and laser-focused on certain types of wind turbine repairs. And in order to keep quality, safety, and efficiency as high as possible, our teams always stay together, so that roles and skills are well-established across each team.

As travel technicians, it's necessary to work together, but also means that teams will often live together, eat together, and spend leisure time together after work.

This week, our Team 674, who are specialized in blade, generator, and pitch bearing exchanges, got together for some good times at a local go-kart racetrack in the northern USA. A good time was had by all!

Congratulations to LiftWerx Team 728! After trading in their old RotorHook™ kit for an upgraded version in late 2025, this rockstar large corrective team is now able to perform complex repairs on much larger turbines.

Yesterday, during a night shift, the team flawlessly performed its heaviest lift yet, while hoisting a rotor on this GE2.8-127 wind turbine in the western USA. Way to go, guys!

For LiftWerx Team 731, here's this week's view from their office window. They're exchanging a gearbox at the Wolfe Island Wind Farm, a SWT-2.3 wind farm located in Lake Ontario. This is the 13th largest lake in the world, and the easternmost of North America's Great Lakes. And right now, the water is more solid than liquid.

Despite the lake’s size, occasionally the lake will freeze entirely, from the northern Canadian shore to the southern American shore. This phenomenon happens relatively infrequently, and only in the middle of winter, when the weather is both dead calm and extremely cold.

We are not a seasonal business. Unlike many contractors, all of our teams work year round, and our equipment is rated to operate in temperatures ranging from -20C to +45C (-4F to +113F). From freezing cold prairies to hot deserts, this wide operating temperature range keeps our teams and our complex repairs moving forward for the vast majority of the time.

Large corrective repairs are more difficult in winter weather, for obvious reasons. While winter work might be tough, being a year-round contractor has many benefits, as follows:

💡Our skilled employees enjoy a steady income on a year-round basis, with no uncertainty with respect to work stoppages or wage interruptions.

💡Our customers can be assured that we are willing and able to bring their assets back online, at any time of year, and regardless of climate or location.

💡Our investors can rest assured that, just like our costs, our revenues are stable and predictable.

All of our teams at LiftWerx are off to a strong start in 2025. After a well-deserved and fully-paid holiday lasting more than two weeks, our teams were back to work during the second week of January. Only a few days later, and thanks to Team 695, this GE2.8-127 wind turbine in Texas is spinning again, with a brand new main bearing. Thanks for a great job, guys!

It's cliché, and unfortunately, we hear it all the time. Contractors across the industry are always complaining that they "can't find good talent". Or they state that they "just can't find any people who want to work".

At LiftWerx, we consider ourselves very fortunate that we don't have this problem. We strive to be an employer of choice, and we're happy to report that we've already onboarded over 30 new employees into our company over the past week.

During a session this afternoon, this energetic and experienced group of technicians, operators, drivers, and engineers spent nearly two hours with the company CEO, Glen Aitken. Glen warmly welcomed this talented new group into the company, while also sharing key cultural fundamentals including our journey towards safety excellence, the company vision, the pillars upon which the company was founded, and the importance of listening to customers.

In 2026, the company plans to hire around 100 people. It's still early January, and we are well on our way.

Here's an exciting new photo from the Netherlands, where our newest GenHook™ 60737 is currently undergoing Factory Acceptance Testing. In this photo, this up-tower crane, rated at a safe working capacity of 30MT, is performing a 10% overload test in accordance with applicable design codes.

This crane will enter the North American market, and will be performing complex wind turbine repairs commencing in March 2026. Stay tuned!

Our vision is to be the global leader of scalable and sustainable O&M solutions for complex wind turbine repairs.

And we are well on our way. Combining our existing fleet with new cranes currently in production, LiftWerx's fleet of cranes will grow to over 75 machines by the end of 2026.

The LiftWerx Flag of Adventure has been raised at one of the most famous archeological sites in the Americas: the ruins of Chichén Itzá in Mexico! Proudly bearing the Flag is Bryant Harris, who is one of LiftWerx's most experienced commercial drivers. In this photo, Bryant is displaying the Flag of Adventure in front of the Temple of Kukulcán (El Castillo), one of the most famous landmarks in Chichén Itzá .

Chichén Itzá was once a prominent Maya city, one of the largest in the Mayan civilization, with a dense city centre covering an area of more than 5 square kilometers (~2 square miles). Chichén Itzá rose to regional prominence toward the end of the Early Classic period (roughly 600 AD). Over the next few centuries, the city became a major regional capital, centralizing and dominating political, sociocultural, economic, and ideological life in the northern Maya lowlands.

The Yucatán Peninsula is a limestone plain, which surprisingly, has no rivers or streams. The region is pockmarked with natural sinkholes, called "cenotes", which expose the water table to the surface. One of the most impressive of these is the Cenote Sagrado, which is 60 meters (200 ft) in diameter and surrounded by sheer cliffs that drop to the water table some 27 meters (~90 ft) below.

As an interesting note of history, the Cenote Sagrado was a place of pilgrimage for ancient Maya people who, according to ethnohistoric sources, would conduct sacrifices during times of drought. Archeological investigations support this, as thousands of objects have been removed from the bottom of the cenote, including material such as gold, carved jade, copal, pottery, flint, obsidian, shell, wood, rubber, cloth, as well as skeletons of children and men.

At LiftWerx, we are proud to employ a talented workforce of people with a zest for life and adventure. Thanks to Bryant and his lovely wife Annie for raising the Flag!

Although 2025 was a fabulous year, we're not going to dwell on the past.

Welcome to 2026. After a decade of innovation and an impressive track record, we are looking forward to a new era of crane-less technology.

This is Zayden. He's six years old. He's been working with his dad, who works for LiftWerx, to get ready for this year's Indian Hill MX Series in Illinois.

So far, Zayden has worked with his dad to rebuild the top end of the engine, install new Dunlop tires, lower and rebuild the suspension, install a new race clutch, and spice up the bike with the LiftWerx brand.

Fortunately, Zayden's dad works for a company that has the best travel rotation in the wind energy industry! So next summer, he can be assured that dad will be home to watch him race.

If you're wondering, LiftWerx technicians work 19 days on, with a paid travel day on each end, followed by 7 days at home with 100% pay. Travel costs and per diems are fully-paid by the company, of course.

Join us in wishing Zayden a successful season! He's going to look great out there.
