The LiftWerx Flag of Adventure has been raised at one of the most historic buildings in the Western World: the Roman Colosseum! Proudly bearing the Flag is Omar Irfan, who works for LiftWerx as a Full Stack Developer.

The Colloseum is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is the largest standing amphitheatre in the world. Construction began nearly 2,000 years ago, under the Emperor Vespasian in AD 72. It was completed only eight years later in AD 80. It's interesting to note that today, large stadiums of this magnitude often require the same amount of time to construct, which is a testament to Rome's highly-organized society and technology at that time.

Constructed of limestone, marble, tuff, and brick-faced Roman concrete, the amphitheater could hold an estimated 50,000 to 80,000 spectators at various points in its history, having an average audience of some 65,000. It was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles including animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, dramas based on Roman mythology, and even mock sea battles. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era.

Because of the ruined state of the interior, it is no longer practical to use the Colosseum to host large events; only a few hundred spectators can be accommodated in temporary seating. However, much larger concerts have been held just outside, using the Colosseum as a backdrop. Performers who have played at the Colosseum in recent years have included Ray Charles (May 2002), Paul McCartney (May 2003), Elton John (September 2005), and Billy Joel (July 2006).

At LiftWerx, we are proud to employ a high-performing team of people who have a zest for life and adventure. Thanks to Omar for Raising the Flag!

This is Zayden. He's only 7 years old. His dad works for LiftWerx as a Major Corrective Lead on one of our RotorHook™ teams in the USA.

This week, Zayden hit his first double jump on his new E-bike. It's a fully-electric machine, powered by a battery pack, producing no carbon emissions, and proudly bearing LiftWerx branding.

At LiftWerx, more than anything, we wish for our employees to have prosperous, fulfilling, and happy lifestyles, both at work and at home. We work hard to provide our technicians with tremendous job stability, competitive salaries, world-class health benefits, and a multi-tiered bonus program. And most importantly, we offer the best travel rotation in industry, providing twice as much home time as most wind energy contractors. Home time is 100% fully-paid, at the same rate as when our technicians are working. And all travel and airfares are fully-paid as well.

And the best part? Our technicians are provided with the financial stability and home time to be great parents to their kids......just like Zayden's dad.

Let's celebrate! Why, you might ask? Because yesterday was winter across the northern hemisphere, but today is a new day. Today is the first day of spring!

What marks the first day of spring? Well, from an astronomical point of view, today we experienced a solar equinox. This is a moment in time when the Sun appears directly above the equator, rather than to its north or south. On the day of the equinox, the Sun appears to rise directly east and set directly west. This occurs twice each year, roughly on March 20th and September 23rd. So, in the northern hemisphere, these dates mark the first day of spring and the first day of autumn respectively.

So, as the sun sets today in the west, while gazing through the hook of this RotorHook™ crane, you can be assured that for today only, you are looking directly westwards.

Enjoy and savour the first day of spring! Warmer weather is heading our way.

The LiftWerx Flag of Adventure has been raised in Kraków, Poland! Proudly bearing the Flag is Ian MacRobbie, posing at the Kraków Cloth Hall (locally known as the "Sukiennice" in Polish). Established in the 11th century, this building is one of the most beautiful and largest medieval market squares in Europe.

Kraków is the second-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River, the city has been established for over one thousand years, and is home to nearly one million people.

Kraków was the official capital of Poland until 1596, and has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life. Its Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Spared from bombing in World War II, the city centre contains a significant amount of architecture from the Renaissance Period.

Here at LiftWerx, we are pleased to employ a high-performing team who have a zest for life and adventure. Thanks to Ian for raising the Flag!

Only seven years ago, our company performed its first main bearing exchange using a RotorHook™ crane. Our initial concept sketches went back to 2016, and it was a very novel and innovative idea at the time. When we communicated this idea to the market, many called us crazy.

Within three years of sketching the idea on paper, our concept became reality. Both the device and the exchange process worked flawlessly from the very first project.

Fast forward seven years later, and we've now performed countless hundreds of successful main bearing, blade, generator, gearbox, and pitch bearing exchanges using these types of up-tower devices. This year, we plan to perform over 300 exchanges in the USA alone.

Since this first groundbreaking exchange in 2019, we've been leading a new realm for large corrective repairs in the wind energy industry. Main bearing exchanges using up-tower cranes have become enormously popular, and within the next decade, I'm confident that the majority of the North American industry will shift to this method of O&M repair, which uses 90% less equipment compared to traditional cranes. With far less equipment, simplified logistics, and lower costs, there is no downside.

In response to market demand, we now own seven RotorHook™ cranes, and we have seven more currently in production which will be deployed over the next two years.

Thanks to our employees, suppliers, and customers, we are contributing to the development of this revolutionary new industry. While it hasn't been easy, it has been a fun and rewarding ride so far, and the pace of change has been enormous.

We are leading the way. Stay tuned over the next two years, as we continue to raise the bar!

When our technicians start a new career at LiftWerx, they spend several weeks in various training programs before they are deployed to the field. Our training programs are extensive, largely focused on the following realms:

💡 In-house GWO high-angle rescue
💡 First aid
💡 Basic LOTO and troubleshooting
💡 Use of torquing tools
💡 FieldHook™ and other mobile applications
💡 Interface assembly
💡 Nacelle roof jacking & sliding
💡 Assembly and operation of up-tower cranes
💡 Forklift operation
💡 Basic rigging & tag-lining

Why do we do this? Well, by making this training investment up front, our technicians have a good knowledge of what to expect when they are deployed to a large corrective team. It's a significant investment by the company, by our training team, and by our new employees. But it's worth it, as it provides higher quality and safety in field, benefiting all stakeholders, including employees, co-workers, and our customers.

Commencing later in 2026, when it comes to training, LiftWerx will be raising the bar even further. We'll be opening a new 55,000 ft2 (5,500 m2) training facility in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Stay tuned for more details!

We are proud and delighted to present our newest up-tower crane investments: GenHook™ 734 (foreground) and RotorHook™ 733 (background, on tower). This week, these two cranes are completing factory acceptance testing in Zaandam, The Netherlands, at the facilities of KenzFigee.

In 2026, we are widening the gap to position ourselves as the world leader in up-tower crane technology. Aside from these two cranes, which will enter service in North America in May, LiftWerx is deploying 14 additional new up-tower cranes throughout 2026, comprised of TeleHook™, Heli-Hook™, GenHook™, and RotorHook™ cranes.

After a decade of operation, LiftWerx is now operating 35 up-tower cranes of various sizes, and currently has 41 more in production. For more details, please visit https://liftwerx.com/our-cranes/.

Meet four of the bright young minds on our software team: Gurman, Cera, Lisa, and Aric. They provide creative solutions to further develop our various software applications, including our FieldHook app, E-courses, and VR applications.

This week, they traded their keyboards for LiftWerx hardhats and steel-toe boots, taking to the ropes to earn their high-angle rescue certification from the Global Wind Organization! Great job, guys!
