Healthcare is about to change in BC. Without intervention the new HPOA will come into effect in April 2026 which means the provincial government and the regulatory colleges for healthcare professionals (NDs, chiropractors, RMTs, RAcs, physiotherapists etc) can mandate vaccination to maintain licensure. Irrespective of your thoughts on vaccination, the result will be that many of the practitioners you have come to rely on will stop practising or leave the province. This act will compound the catastrophe that is BCs healthcare system. If you care about having access to care, contact the minister of health to make your voice heard. , , , ,

Healthcare Is about to get more expensive for practitioners in BC under our new regulatory college. Naturopathic doctors are facing a 26.5% rise in licensing fees year over year from 2025-2025, RMTs a rise of 18.5% and acupuncturists, 16% for 2026 and an additional 14% for 2027. With an already struggling healthcare system, these licensing fee hikes will make it even harder to access healthcare in BC. Worse, we were told as practitioners there would be no change in our licensing fees with the creation of this new regulatory college.
