Fireside yoga on this rainy spring weekend. It has been a challenging, uncertain and frightening time for everyone these past few months. There has been a lot of loss on multiple levels. My heart aches for the loss and stress the people on our planet have faced. As we navigated this uncharted territory, life began to slow down significantly. At this slower pace, there was a lot of time for introspection. I truly can’t believe the speed at which I had been operating my life for the last 5-6 years. Full-time student, multiple jobs to make the ends meet, board exams, licensing exams, pharmacy exams, 8 new homes in 3 years, opening my naturopathic medical practice in 2 towns, long distance love (which is now very short distance love ) and then suddenly there was a pause due to this global pandemic. Slowing down, deep breathing, reducing social media, more cooking, more nature are all things that have helped me stay grounded. I look forward to sharing some of my insights as we move forward into this gentle re-opening of our province. Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and mindful transition back into this next phase! I’m so excited to be seeing patients back in clinic with our extensive safety measures in place. Next week, we move forward! Oh yeah, that’s a nice cup of dandelion root tea. A big thank you for years of yoga practice guidance
