Here are the steps we are taking at Mountainview Therapeutics to keep you safe!
Remember If you are feeling unwell the day before your treatment or the day of your treatment please call us and we will be happy to reschedule you.

What steps the clinic is taking:
 Staff will use the BC COVID-19 self-assessment test and take their temperature daily.
 Staff will be practicing social distancing outside of work.
 The number of therapists and clients in the clinic have been reduced by 50%
 Plexiglas barrier has been installed for reception
 Posters will be placed in all common areas regarding proper hand washing procedure, symptom awareness, cleaning protocols, and proper mask etiquette
 Common areas will be sanitized throughout the day
 Water will be provided upon request by clinicians or administrative staff to minimize the number of people touching the cooler.
 Therapist will take 15-30 minutes between clients to properly sanitize their treatment room before the next client arrives.
 All therapists will follow proper hand washing protocols
 All linens will be changed, and all surfaces cleaned in the treatment room between clients.
 All extra linens and pillows will be stored in plastic containers with lids or in cabinets
 Clipboards and pens will be sanitized between clients
 Massage therapists will change their shirts/covers and masks between clients
 Markers on floor for one-way traffic around clinic – 6 ft markers around front desk for client line-up and for bathroom
 Cloth or disposable masks (sanitized and packaged individually) and goggles will be available to clients and therapists upon request.
 Clients will be informed of new procedures via
o Social media, website, online booking system, phone, and auto-response to email inquiries
 Contactless payment methods have been implemented.
o Receipts will be sent via email or printed upon request.

What will be expected of the client:

o We would be happy to set up a virtual care appointment with you or reschedule your appointment.
 Please check out the BC Self Assessment Tool 1 day prior to your appointment.
o If you are prompted to call 811, please do so and then let us know.
 Please arrive for your appointment on time. If you happen to arrive early, please wait in your car or outside the clinic to limit the number of people in the waiting area.
o Please do not bring others to your appointment unless you/they are a required caregiver.
o Staff will open front entrance door at the time of your appointment and after appointment
 Pre-screening for symptoms will occur three times
o Clients will be screened at the time of booking, when entering clinic and then again in the treatment room

 Please use the hand sanitizer or wash your hands when you arrive (this will be provided) and avoid touching your face.
 If you sneeze, please sneeze into your elbow, and wash your hands after.
 Masks are not mandatory for you to wear, however, if you have one and would prefer to wear it please do so.
o Please wear a mask if you have a cough or are sneezing due to allergies or other non-covid 19 related concerns.
o Massage therapy visits may require a mask, your registered massage therapist will talk to you about this at the time of your appointment.
 A sanatizable container will be available for clients to place personal items in
 Contactless methods of payment will be used at the clinic.
o We recommend clients consider setting up a credit card on your Jane (online booking) profile. It is 100% private and secure and will allow us to do a contactless payment.
