Currents Art Psychotherapy Studio Mental health support through creative art expression with models of counselling and psychotherapy. Sessions are available in online and in-person formats.

Currents Art Psychotherapy Studio provides therapy sessions for individuals, couples, dyads, families and groups. The healing work done in session is through arts and creativity and not talk-based as found with other therapies, though talking is welcome in session. In-person sessions take place in the studio in Camrose, Alberta. Please see our website for availability, booking a session and for more information about art therapy.

Art at lunch is a space to create art, connect with others and enjoy a little treat. I often create collages though today, while flipping through a copy of Alberta Native News, I learned about artist Linus Woods. Linus Woods is a Dakota/Ojibway artist from Long Plain First Nation in Southern Manitoba and was the June 2025 Feature Artist in the copy I had picked up.

I did not create a collage as much as a poster today. I painted a background, cut out the imagery, titles and the article then glued it all together.

This past Saturday the studio was bustling with art classes taught by Dylan. Dylan is an artist and instructor who teaches a Drawing Series for youth aged 10-15 and a painting class for youth 10-18 years old. He is totally enthusiastic about making comics, drawing and painting and his enthusiasm shows in how he works with his students!

Altered Book Club is a Saturday morning intentional time set aside for folks looking to reflect on their journey. No matter if you have lost your footing, are on the way back to your path or are confidently blazing your own trail, the Altered Book Club provides space for reflection through art, poetry, conversation and connection.

This program supports you in creatively recording aspects of your life journey in the form of an altered book.

Starts Saturday February 28th at 10:30am.
