September is FASD Month!
Everyone Plays a Part: Take Action!
It's estimated that 4% of Canadians have FASD, that's 1.5 million people.
It's time for a National Framework for FASD.
A National FASD Framework would:
Provide clear, evidence-based prevention and diagnostic standards
Support frontline professionals and families
Engage provinces, territories, Indigenous communities, and service providers
Help reduce the long-term burdens on our healthcare, justice, and social systems.

September is FASD Month!
Everyone Plays a Part: Take Action
What are you doing to take action?
Support those around you to have a healthy pregnancy, offer alcohol-free options at all your gatherings, learn about FASD, talk about it, share about it, & support those around you!

Mayor PJ Stasko, on behalf of Camrose City Council, has proclaimed September 9, 2025 as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day in the City of Camrose.

This day recognizes the contributions of individuals living with FASD and highlights the importance of supporting healthy pregnancies. FASD is the leading developmental disability in Canada, and raising awareness helps ensure individuals, families, and communities have the information and support they need.
