We’re happy to share that we have welcomed Dr. Pauwlina Cyca to our physician team and she is currently accepting new patients. If you would like a regular provider for ongoing care, she’d be glad to welcome you to her panel.

With our recent walk‑in hour changes, we’re working to make access smoother for everyone. Having a family doctor is one of the best ways to make sure you get timely, connected care when you need it.

🌿 Update to Our Walk‑In Clinic Hours 🌿

Our team is always looking for ways to better support our community, and we want to share an important update about our walk‑in clinic. To help increase access and make sure our physicians can provide the continuous care our patients need, we’ll be adjusting our walk‑in hours starting February 1, 2026.

This change was made to offer more access to physicians and increase our clinic capacities. Outside of these hours we can often accommodate same day bookings. Give us a call and we will find the best spot for you!

We’ll be keeping a close eye on how these new hours work over the next few months to see if adjustments are needed. Your experience matters to us, and we want to make sure these changes truly benefit our patients.

👟 Exciting News for the Bow Valley! 👣

We are proud to welcome Dr. Tedman Donovan, DPM to Integrative Health in Canmore — now accepting new patients!

Dr. Donovan is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1998. Since then, he has built a career spanning 27 years, practicing in Edmonton, Calgary, and right here in Canmore from 2006–2009.

With extensive training and experience, Dr. Donovan provides specialized care in all areas of podiatry, including custom orthotics. He is also a registered provider with the NIHB MS&E program (Medical Services & Equipment).

Beyond medicine, Dr. Donovan and his family are excited to return to the Bow Valley — reconnecting with the community, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying the mountain lifestyle.

With nearly 30 years of experience in family medicine, Dr. Smiljic has practiced across Canada and abroad, from Saskatchewan and Ottawa to Banff and most recently New Zealand. He brings a strong commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care, with special interests in addiction, pain, and mental health, as well as mentoring the next generation of medical learners.

As a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and Lecturer at the University of Calgary, Dr. Smiljic is deeply committed to lifelong learning and supporting our Bow Valley community.

💙 Let’s Talk About Colon Cancer Screening

This might not be the easiest topic to bring up... but it’s one of the most important. Colon cancer is one of the most common cancers in Alberta — but it’s also one of the most preventable.

The truth is, many people don’t have any symptoms until it’s more serious. That’s why regular screening is so important, even if you feel totally fine.

👉 If you’re between 50 and 74, it’s recommended you get screened every 1–2 years.
The good news? Screening is simple — it’s called the FIT test, and you do it right at home.

🧪 It’s just a small stool sample you collect with a little brush, put in the provided tube, and drop off at the lab. That’s it.
