Be sure to check out our “Galaxy of Mental Health” tree at the Rotary Club of Canmore Festival of Trees at the Malcolm Hotel. The ornaments were created by a group of students from ERS, LGMS, and Alpenglow schools and share personal connections to mental health such as their strengths, goals, interests, and their support systems. Also, we would love it if you scanned the QR code at the bottom of the tree to answer a community wellness question!

RFTS had an amazing time seeing so many familiar faces and amazing costumes at Trunk or Treat last weekend! Thank you to everyone who spun the wellness wheel and answered our question "Do you like to be scared?" We also hope families enjoyed the "Core Memory Ornament" craft and kiddos had fun with their playdough.

🧠🌍 Today is World Mental Health Day. A reminder that taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.

For teens and young adults, life can feel overwhelming, and mental health often takes a back seat. But even small steps add up when it comes to protecting your well-being:

🌙 Prioritize sleep. Your brain and body recharge when you rest.
🏃 Move your body. Even a short walk or stretch can boost your mood.
💬 Talk it out. Share how you’re feeling with a friend, parent, or your doctor.
📱 Take screen breaks. Unplugging for even 10 minutes helps reduce stress.
🥗 Fuel yourself well. Balanced meals support both physical and mental health.

Your primary care team is here for you or for any teens and young adults in your life. We can support with nutrition, sleep strategies, free resources, and connect you to the right members of your care team. Learn more: https://bowvalleypcn.ca/mental-health-clinicians/
