Sarah Bagnell, PT and Jessica Bergevin, PT can help!
Both Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis can be activity-limiting conditions, but in different ways.
Osteoporosis can lead to fear of falls or fractures and a reduced sense of confidence. However, physical activity is encouraged with this condition! Weight-bearing and balance exercises can both help strengthen the bones and prevent falls.
Osteoarthritis limits daily activity due to pain and joint stiffness. Exercise and movement is encouraged but lower impact activities are recommended instead.
