Ava Clark Counselling Professional Counselling Services. I am a registered clinical counsellor with the BCACC.

I have a Masters in Art Therapy from Concordia University and I am also certified in EMDR, hypnotherapy, and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety and trauma and DBT. I am passionate about helping people reach their mental health and wellness goals with compassion, respect and confidentiality. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I work with a range of populations including children, adolescents and adults with a range of mental health issues, counselling needs and goals. I come from a client centered philosophy and respect your right to privacy.

Summer is a great time to start or re-engage in therapy! As many people are away and there is more availability in my schedule! Although it can also be a wonderful time to take a break from therapy after gains have been made.

My heart goes out to the Filipino community and those in Vancouver who have been traumatized or lost someone due to Saturday’s unimaginable violence at the Lapu lapu festival. Sadly one of the victims was a school counsellor. Although i did mot know her i wanted to share this and honour her legacy. Truly devastating. 😭💔

The New Westminster School Board released a statement Monday announcing Kira Salim was among those who died at the Lapu-Lapu Day festival.
