We enjoyed having Micah and Jacquie, mother/ daughter duo entertain us as well as Sadie and Norma. Our local ( and not so local) talent always brings joy to our residents. Music touches everyone . While Sadie was performing a group of her friends joined to watch as well. There’s a picture of them together with her. (alumni staff that used to all work together here in this facility when it was the hospital.)
We want to thank the CB Legion branch for sharing the lunch from their Rememberance day with us as well. Its donations like this that show the true meaning of community .
Thank you to Conexus Credit Union ( Crystal Fowler)and local donors ( Sheri, Helen, Deana, Janice,Rosalie, Florence,Glenda, and Maggie)for gathering together to bring funding for a reprint of our song books, this is a huge need as we only had a few song books that we were sharing, and this will allow us a book each and to share with all our guests during music days.
We enjoyed a day of making buns and cinnamon buns, and also eating them too!!
Please watch for posters coming for our auxiliary baking auction on Saturday, December 6 at the Central butte Legion at 7 PM. The funds from the baking auction will be used by the activity department for the enjoyment of the residents. If you wish to donate any baking, please contact myself, Lorine at 306-796-7700. Good morning to all my baking friends, Iver Main Place is having a baking auction on Saturday, December 6 at 7 PM at the Legion in Central Butte. We are looking for extra special festive baking. If you would like to donate some, please contact Lorine at 306-796-7700, (texting is best. )Some examples could be Popycock, shortbread cookies, Fudge, mixed baking trays, nuts and bolts, butter tarts,buns, bread , or special baking your family request at Christmas. This will be open to the public to come in and join our festive evening and help us fund raise for the Iver Main Place auxiliary . The Legion will have food available for purchase before the Baking Auction . Be sure to come out and support our local private care home activity dept. Lorine

We were so fortunate to have a lovely October. We celebrated Thanks Giving by having a pie and coffee social for family and residents the saturday following the holiday.We had church services with Sharon and Marvin . A lovely donation of lap quilts from the Eyebrow quilters to keep us all snug as a bug. Reading times from Heather and Barb as well as music from the Manor singers and Riverhurst singers . We made buns and had homemade butter , which was greatly enjoyed . We watched the World Series and cheered as hard as we could, only to come up a bit short . We made Halloween goody bags for the trick or treaters .We got into the Halloween mood by carving pumpkins and having “ spirit “ week. Thank you to the Noga family for the pumpkins and another donation of pumpkins was also brought in , I’m not sure who dropped them off but thank you . We had a pottery demo and made little pumpkins. We had the daycare come visit to show their costumes and the school
did a costume parade as well. Without the support of our communities we could not have the success we do at our facility . Thank you everyone 😁

I was honoured to be invited to Dr and Mrs Muir’s home today. They had a most generous donation for the Iver Main Place auction that I went to pick up. Dr Muri hand carved an item for the online event and his daughter also beaded an item with Philip contributing a carved element in it as well. But, the best treat of all was seeing Philip’s private art gallery . This gallery is a must see, he has a quiet nature about him that you can see in his art. We were reminiscing and chatting about the past .About my family and his familys crossings over the years. Church, visits, land deals, and friendships. Great people like the Muri’s always fill your cup with their genuine kindness. I’m thankful for the time spent with them today . Watch on the IMP online auction for the items.
