PEI Wellbeing Project A research study is taking place to measure the wellbeing of Islanders, exploring factors that contribute to the happiness of Prince Edward Island residents.

To complete the survey or learn more about the project, please visit PEIwellbeingProject.ca. You play an important role in gaining a deeper understanding of the wellbeing of our communities. The University of East London is conducting research to measure the wellbeing of Islanders. The province-wide account of wellbeing will explore factors that contribute to happiness of PEI residents.

The PEI Wellbeing Project is asking anyone over the age of 18 who lives on PEI to help by completing a short 10-minute anonymous online survey. Results of the survey will provide data that can help inform decisions impacting the future of the province. Social science researcher, Connolly Aziz, will share the results from the PEI Well-Being Project at a community presentation taking place at the Beaconsfield Carriage House (2 Kent St., Charlottetown) on Monday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 6 p.m.

The province-wide study measured the well-being of PEI residents and uncovered inequities among marginalized populations, with these people being: Indigenous, LGBTQ2+, gender diverse, those living with a disability, and those living under the poverty line.

A facilitated conversation will take place following the presentation.

No registration necessary. All are welcome.

I am excited to share that the PEI Well-Being Project (A statistical case study of well-being related community factors), has recently been published in the International Journal of Community Well-Being.

The research uncovered inequities in well-being among marginalized populations, including: Indigenous, LGBTQ2+, gender diverse, those living with a disability, and those living under the poverty line.

The research provided insight into happiness, at a community level, as an indicator of how our society is performing and adds momentum towards the adoption of sustainable development goals, such as National Happiness.
