Hello!
I am excited to be offering Community Acupuncture at the Carriage House and here's a short bio of how I arrived here: I returned to my hometown of Charlottetown 5 years ago after having trained and worked in California for 20 plus years. In 1991, I studied at San Diego’s International Professional School of Bodywork with training in many massage modalities as well as Tai Chi. After 5 years as a massage therapist in San Francisco, I began studies at Meiji College of Oriental Medicine where I earned a MSc in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2000, I became a licensed acupuncturist in California and have maintained my license ever since: https://www.acupuncture.ca.gov/
While I developed my private practice, I was also contracted by the city of San Francisco to provide group acupuncture in community clinics where I gained valuable experience.
Fast forward to October 2023 where I am excited to be fulfilling my goal of opening a Community Acupuncture Clinic in downtown Charlottetown.
Affordable, accessible community acupuncture is an important addition to both our city and to our health care system as acupuncture treats many common ailments such as cold/flu, anxiety/stress, digestive disorders, muscle pain/tightness, pain from injuries, women’s health, sleep issues, and more.
I look forward to expanding the availability of affordable acupuncture in Charlottetown and I am inspired to provide this service to all who are interested. Please email me with any questions you may have about the clinic at acu.paulah@gmail.com At a sliding scale rate of $35-$60 per session you can get a lot of your health care needs met at a low cost.
If you're ready to book a session for yourself, first create an account at https://dtctcommunityacu.openacu.me/ then open the calendar in the patient portal to book an appointment. Come alone or encourage your family and friends to come with you.
To your health!
Paula Hilton, Licensed Acupuncturist
