Welcome to Simmonds McMurrer Naturopathic Medicine, a naturopathic medical clinic located at 34 Queen Street in historic downtown Charlottetown, PEI, home to Dr. Kali Simmonds, Dr. Lana McMurrer, and Dr. Nara Simmonds. As naturopathic doctors we seek to restore and maintain optimum health in our patients by emphasizing the body’s inherent self-healing process with the support of natural therapies. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body. Naturopathic medicine emphasizes disease as a process rather than disease as an entity. The primary goal is to treat the underlying cause of the disease. Whether you are currently suffering from a chronic or acute medical condition or wish to prevent future illness, naturopathic medicine has something to offer you. Naturopathic visits are covered by most private health plans. Naturopathic doctors are trained to refer to other health professionals if necessary.

Hi everyone!

We would like to give notice to all of our current patients. There will be some changes to our pricing in the coming new year. Due to the continued economic challenges we have all been experiencing we have seen a need to increase our prices in order to continue running an effective clinic.

We look forward to continuing to provide a welcoming environment where you feel seen and heard. Where we can listen to you, seek the cause of your concerns, treat you as a whole person, individualize your care and help you achieve optimal health.
We understand that any price change requires adjustment. Your current pricing will remain in effect until December 31st, 2024. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@simmondsmcmurrer.com

We would like to express concern regarding Health Canada’s proposed fees for natural health products. Our naturopathic doctors along with others share a concern that the proposed fees will result in significant price increases and more products being taken off the market, products that our patients rely on to manage their health.

The costs of have already increased by up to 20% per product because of the pandemic and supply chain issues. NDs have extensive knowledge and training in the use of NHPs. Access to ALL NHPs is critical to ensuring NDs can continue to treat patients safely and effectively.

We thank you for your attention and ask that you request Health Canada suspend the proposed fees discussion until the Self-Care Framework has been completed and the NNHPD has cleared its current backlog.
