Important Update Regarding After-Hours Emergency Care for Your Pets

We want to ensure that you have the information you need to care for your beloved pets, especially during emergencies.

Due to ongoing staffing challenges, Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital (CIVEH) in Nanaimo will be temporarily closed from Tuesday at 8:00 AM to Friday at 8:00 AM, starting April 13th 2025.

We understand how stressful emergency situations can be, and we want to make sure you have trusted options available during this time.

If your pet needs emergency care outside of our regular business hours, please contact one of the following 24/7 emergency hospitals:

For urgent care needs that arise after we are closed (please note this is not 24/7 care, but extended hours):
