Who will be my 5?
Clinically diagnosed anxiety is not just being a bit worried, you can't just "chill out a bit" or "get over it". It eats into your well being, your confidence, your health and your life and it is 24/7. When someone cancels, or ducks out, or makes a pathetic excuse please understand that it isn't personal, it isn't laziness, it isn't being rude. It's because they can't physically do it. When someone needs supporting/encouraging/ hand holding it isn't pathetic, it isn't attention seeking, it isn't childish - it's because they are desperate to beat it but can't do it alone.
"Anxiety sucks, being isolated and believing your friends don't care sucks even more 😢😢.
How many of you have had a night out planned, or arranged coffee or a beer with friends and suddenly the 4 walls you inhabit seem the only safe haven because it's the only place you don't have to pretend you are ok, so you cancel.
Or when you are invited out you tell them how terribly sorry you are but you're already booked up that weekend, when you are actually just really busy holding it together in your safe box. And so the first problem starts, all by itself.
People stop asking you and the isolation that at first wasn't true becomes your only truth.
Please don't give up on your friends. Ring them, go round, even when they don't want you to. Because they really do they just don't know how to say it.
And in work every passing comment is a negative, you constantly do more to get over the feeling you are not good enough. The exhaustion from not sleeping because you panic all night over what you cannot influence means you make mistakes, you live in a fog and it is a vicious circle.
I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of my Facebook friends that less than 5 will take the time to put this on their wall to help raise awareness of and for those who have mental health difficulties. You just have to copy it from my wall and paste it to yours.
Who will be my 5 ... I wonder?

How to stay grounded during the winter months

As the winter season sets in, many people struggle to stay energized and motivated, especially in the colder climates of the Northern Hemisphere. To stay grounded during the winter season, consider the following tips:
• Spend time outdoors, even if it's just a short walk, to get some fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun.
• Practice grounding techniques like meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises to calm your mind and connect with your body.
• Incorporate warming and nourishing foods into your diet, such as Chicken noodle soup, to help boost your immune system and energy levels.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and limiting your intake of caffeine and alcohol

If you're carrying pain or disappointment, I hope you find a way to release it. Healing happens not by forgetting, but by facing and feeling your emotions to transform them into something that makes you whole again.

The thought of escaping to a secluded cabin in the woods sounds like a dream come true. Here's a story about just that:

As I stepped out of the car and onto the dirt path, the crunch of gravel beneath my feet was like music to my ears. The trees towered above me, their leaves rustling softly in the gentle breeze. I took a deep breath, feeling the cool, crisp air fill my lungs, and smiled.

I'd left behind the constant ping of notifications, and the glow of screens. My phone was silenced, and the only connection to the world was the distant hum of a bird's song.

The cabin was cozy, with a fireplace that crackled and spat, casting warm shadows on the walls. I spent my days reading, journaling, and watching the snowflakes dance outside the window. The silence was almost palpable, broken only by the occasional hoot of an owl or the soft whisper of snow falling on the roof.

As the days passed, my mind began to unwind, like a spool of thread slowly unraveling. I felt my thoughts untangle, my worries fade, and my soul rejuvenate. I took long walks in the woods, discovering hidden streams and secret glades. The peace and quiet were a balm to my soul.

One night, I sat by the fire, watching the stars twinkling through the skylight above. The flames danced and crackled, casting shadows on the walls. I felt a deep sense of contentment wash over me, a sense of being exactly where I was meant to be.

In that moment, I knew I'd found my own little slice of heaven. The world outside receded, and all that mattered was the gentle rustle of the trees, the warmth of the fire, and the quiet of the night.

She had lost herself trying to please everyone else. One day, she realized she didn't like the person she saw in the mirror. She decided to stop living for others and start reclaiming herself. She let go of the emotional weight, forgave herself, and began to rediscover her passions. A small smile crept onto her face, and her voice whispered triumphantly in her heart and soul.

The pace of life is swift. If you do not occasionally take a moment to reflect, you may miss out on it. It's a reminder to slow down, appreciate the moment, and not get too caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to forget to pause and enjoy the little things.

Once upon a time, in a cozy little cottage nestled in the woods, lived a woman named Grace. She spent most of her days caring for others - family, friends, and even strangers. One day, while sipping tea under a willow tree, Grace realized she'd forgotten how to care for herself.

She started small, taking long baths under the moonlight, practicing yoga, and taking pictures of sunsets. As Grace nurtured her mind, body, and soul, her heart began to glow. She learned to say "yes" to herself, prioritizing her own needs and desires.

Grace’s self-love journey wasn't always easy, but it was worth it. She discovered that by filling her own cup, she could overflow with love and kindness for others. From that day forward, Grace’s life became a beautiful reflection of her own self-love and self care

It is essential to maintain perspective and today, take time to detach from pressing concerns. Engage in activities that promote relaxation, such as walking, and appreciate the simple joys of life, like the beauty of flowers and trees. Acknowledge that the gravity we assign to issues in the moment is often overstated. Detachment affords clarity, enabling a more comprehensive evaluation of challenges. Focus on identifying solutions, as our attention influences our energy.
