Meet Kristi Pinderi (he/him) | Registered Social Worker
Kristi Pinderi is a Registered Social Worker holding both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. He supports 2SLGBTQ+ youth, adults, and families navigating identity, complex systems, and the impacts of marginalization.
Kristi’s work is gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in narrative therapy. He practices cultural humility with a deep recognition that q***r culture is a culture in its own right—deserving of intentional, strategic, and affirming care. Therapy with Kristi is collaborative and relational, offering a space where clients can speak freely, understand their stories differently, and explore outcomes that feel more accurate, empowering, and possible.
While rooted in narrative therapy, Kristi takes a flexible, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s needs. His work centers the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals, including chronic invalidation, ongoing stress, and systemic barriers.
Before moving to Canada, Kristi was a pioneering leader in the LGBTQ+ movement in Albania, playing a central role in advancing q***r rights, visibility, and community support—an activist lens that continues to inform his clinical practice today. He also brings frontline experience in child welfare with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), as well as case management experience supporting LGBTQ+ newcomers navigating migration, safety, and integration.
