🤔 Why does my skin feel like a desert lately? 🏜️

We’ve all been there! You moisturize, you hydrate, but your skin still feels tight, flaky, and just... dry. What gives?

The causes can be subtle, but making a few simple tweaks can make a huge difference! Here are the most common culprits:

💨 Low Humidity (Hello, Indoor Heating/AC!)
Both central heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer pull moisture out of the air, and from your skin, leaving it dehydrated.

🚿 Long, Hot Showers
Hot water and harsh soaps can strip your skin of its natural, protective oils, no matter how good they feel after a long day. Lukewarm is the way to go!

🧼 Harsh Skincare Products
Many popular cleansers and soaps are formulated to remove oil, which can inadvertently strip your skin of essential moisture. Look for gentle, cream or milk cleansers instead.

☕ Dehydration & Lifestyle
Are you drinking enough water? Alcohol and smoking can also act as diuretics, causing you to lose fluids faster and contributing to overall skin dehydration.

What is Cryogen?

cryogen is a substance used with Candela Gentle Max Pro device. It produces extremely low temperatures, often in the liquid or gaseous state, such as liquid nitrogen. In laser hair removal, cryogens are typically used as cooling agents to protect the skin and improve the procedure's comfort.

How Cryogens are Used in Laser Hair Removal:

Pre-cooling: Some laser devices spray a cryogen (like a fine mist of liquid nitrogen or other cooling agents) onto the skin just before the laser pulse. This helps reduce skin temperature and minimizes discomfort during treatment.
Concurrent cooling: Certain systems use a continuous stream of cryogen during laser firing to keep the skin cool, protecting the epidermis from unwanted thermal damage.
Post-cooling: Cooling can also be applied immediately after the laser pulse to calm the skin.

Benefits of Using Cryogens:

Reduces pain and discomfort during treatment.
Protects the surrounding skin from thermal injury.
Enhances safety and efficacy of the laser procedure.
