Position Overview:
As a Registered Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in our clients' journeys toward, assessment, healing and self-discovery. Your work will encompass a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each individual. You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based therapy, and foster a therapeutic alliance built on trust and understanding. Your expertise will contribute to a holistic approach to mental health, addressing not just symptoms but the underlying factors that influence well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.
2. Provide a range of therapeutic services, including individual, couples, and group therapy, using various evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, and more.
3. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and strengths.
4. Create a safe and supportive therapeutic space that encourages open dialogue, vulnerability, and self-exploration.
5. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring a holistic understanding of each client's journey.
6. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals at our centre, including naturopaths, nutritionists, Reiki energy healers, and clinical counsellors, to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a client's life.
7. Stay engaged with the latest research and trends in psychology and holistic health through continued education and professional development.
Qualifications:
1. Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
2. Valid registration and license to practice as a psychologist in British Columbia.
3. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on holistic practices being preferred.
4. Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and solution-focused therapy.
5. Strong assessment skills and experience with psychological testing, along with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
7. A commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and ongoing personal and professional growth.
