Esther is our Adult Patient Spotlight of the Month 🩷

This lady is truly a ray of sunshine, a mom who sacrifices and advocates for her family daily, and preserves with grace and strength!

She has faithfully brought Miki to (most often) daily appointments for years to support her Nervous System through all of the challenges she has courageously faced. And somehow, Esther always comes in with a smile 🥰

Sometimes the first thing people notice is the symptom.

But more often, there are quieter changes leading up to it- subtle shifts in sleep, stress, digestion or overall capacity that didn’t seem significant at the time.

When one nervous system begins to regulate, the entire home feels it. More ease, more connection, more capacity to thrive.

What’s often missed are the earlier patterns of stress and adaptation in the nervous system- before anything becomes obvious in daily life.

In our practice, nervous system scans are used as an objective way to observe how the body is adapting to stress by looking at patterns like balance, coordination and regulation between sympathetic (fight/flight) and parasympathetic (recover) responses.

Research in neurophysiology shows the autonomic nervous system is continuously adjusting heart rate, digestion, stress response and energy output in real time- often long before a person is aware of changes subjectively.

These patterns don’t label or diagnose anything- but they can help guide a clearer picture of how the body is currently organizing and adapting.

Congrats to our Little Patient of the Month CROSBY 🎉

We love having this kid in our office! He brings so much joy and laughter to each of us with his fun facts (he literally knows the history of more topics than we can count), his passion for LEGO (he has been known to catch other patients in the waiting room to share his top 5 facts on LEGO) and most of all his INCREDIBLE resilience pushing through and completing his Nervous System scans!!
