We are so thankful for the impact Dr. Tori made in her time with us!

She quickly won over pediatric patients with her “Popcorn” adjustments and “Spine farts” which allowed kiddos that felt uneasy to look forward to their visits!

Her joy and laughter was heard from the front desk, as she intentionally built connections with her patients.

We are so grateful for the time we have had, for her knowledge and skills that she imparted, and the intentionality and continued training she put into making herself the best practitioner she could be.

Dr.Tori- we wish you well in your future and everything you do 💛 and although we wish we could remove the commute from UBC, know you will be missed by the staff and patients here at Kauri!

Our body uses symptoms to communicate the state of our health to us 👂🚨

What does balance, postural control and nervous system signals all have in common?

This is our ability to sense and feel where we are within our body and outside of our body (our environment).

We call this interoception & proprioception 🫶 it is a continuous communication loop within the Nervous System.

•Interoception (internal state)
•Proprioception (where the body is in time and space)

Dr. Holt, President of the New Zealand College, performed a randomized controlled study over 12 weeks in 60 patients (ages 65yrs and older).

What they found ➡️ positive shifts in sensorimotor function (ability to control movement + maintain posture)and sensory integration associated with fall risk and the physical component of quality of life in the 60 patients compared with control group.

Chiropractic adjustment’s restore Nervous System communication, allowing for clear internal and external communication signals to be sent from your brain to your body which allow for better balance, spatial awareness and adaptability.
