Winter can be a tough season for many — but together, we can make it a little warmer.

The Tanner Steffler Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive in support of It Takes a Village, a community organization in Listowel that provides free clothing and household items to families across Huron and Perth Counties.

We’re collecting gently used winter coats, sweaters, boots, socks, and more — every donation helps someone stay warm and cared for this season

Donations accepted now through December 5th, 2025

Drop-off at the TSF office: 80 Mary St. Unit 3, Clinton

Life isn’t always easy. But in the hard moments I find strength in the goodness of our community.

Today I was blown away (and definitely shed some tears) when Elliott's Liquidation & Auction Inc. donated FOUR overflowing carts of food to help fill the Salvation Army food bank shelves for my birthday wish.

Gary, Jill, Britt, Amanda and the incredible team you’ve built, your generosity makes this town brighter and our lives sweeter. What a gift it is to live alongside people like you. You have my most heartfelt thanks. ❤️

Clinton! 👋 Please read this! Can you help with my birthday wish???

The other day I met a mom and her two middle grade daughters who told me how the food bank carried them through a season they never imagined facing. 💙 That moment hit me. Behind every can and box is a family, a neighbour, someone truly surviving on the strength of this community.

And recently I found out the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank are running low again.

Clinton, last time you blew me away with your generosity. You gave so much it took a forklift and a trailer to deliver it all. 🤯👏

My birthday is today, and I wondered if you could help me fulfill my birthday wish. Here it is: To surprise the food bank this week with an overflowing delivery of hope, filling their shelves with a beautiful show of community support. 💝

I’m committing to drive around collecting donations on Wednesday September 24th from 6-7pm. If you are willing to leave a donation at your front door at that time please message me with your address and I will come pick it up. *Business owners, if you live out of town but would like to donate, I’m happy to stop by during your store hours on Wednesday!
