Who am I?
My name is Cadence Moffat McCann (she/her). I am honoured to be playing my part in reweaving the sacred web of life and healing the deep wounds of disconnect that plague us as a species. I feel called to help us remember the sense of the village and what it means to be in direct connection with each other and the Earth.
I am informed by nearly 20 years of land-based facilitation and healing work with diverse groups throughout Turtle Island (so-called North America). I am constantly amazed by the depth of healing experienced by people from spending intentional time together in nature. Mother Earth continues to be my most profound source of guidance and wisdom.
My journey has been deeply impacted by all my teachers, human and more-than-human. I have been humbled to have learned and worked with peoples of diverse cultures and backgrounds throughout the world. I have been continually cracked open through the power of individual and collective grieving. And, I have been blown away by the power of voice as a healing force through song, laughter, and tears.
I am blessed to be guided by the love of my ancestors and spirit. I feed my soul by singing, dancing, and swimming freely with all the wild beings who share this magnificent Earth. As a q***r, cis-female settler of mostly Celtic and Slavic ancestry, I am grateful to reside in the unceded lands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən, W̱SÁNEĆ, and neighbouring Indigenous Peoples. I am dedicated to supporting a process of decolonization in all its shapes and forms.
