Last week was National Volunteer Week. We hosted a Spring Time Tea to celebrate our volunteers and show our appreciation. We are so thankful for our incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to our residents. Thank you for all you do!

We are excited about our new program partnership with YMCA Youth Impact Network! The residents really enjoyed the Bingo program and visits! 😊

YMCA Northumberland’s Youth Impact Network visited Extendicare Cobourg for an afternoon of bingo and conversation this week!

It was more than just a game; it was an opportunity for our youth to engage with local seniors, share stories, and build genuine connections.

We are incredibly proud of our Youth Impact Network members for their leadership and compassion, and we extend a sincere thank you to the residents and team at Extendicare Cobourg for hosting us.

Yesterday afternoon we had our Winterfest event. We had a great time, and had a lot of laughs with our snowball fight! Our residents enjoyed games, hot chocolate and timbits. A video clip of our snowball fight… ❄️

Yesterday our residents enjoyed Chinese New Celebrations! 🏮They enjoyed Chinese new years traditions, treats and a delicious order in dinner from Wok & Roll Restaurant.

Our residents have been having a great time with lots of laughter participating in their own Extendicare Winter Olympic Games! Curling, Olympic ring toss, and an Olympic relay! 🥌

Thank you so much to our staff member Wendi who so kindly took the time to prepare all of the materials and come in and do a cookie decorating class with some of our residents. They had such a wonderful time and their cookies turned out beautiful! They were so proud of their creations ❤️

Santa came to visit our residents and staff this morning and handed out presents! 🎁 A special thank you to Stuff a Stocking for a Senior Northumberland, and Be A Santa to A Senior programs for all the wonderful gifts for our residents!
