“For a limited time, the Heart Safe program is accepting applications from municipalities, Indigenous communities, charitable, non-profit and other eligible groups within Alberta for one-time financial support to assist with increasing public access to defibrillation. Applications from other sources may be considered on a case-by-case basis for full or partial funding.

This fund may be used to purchase AEDs and related training/equipment, such as:

Pads
Batteries
Fast-response kits
Cabinets (including outdoor, temperature-controlled cabinets)
First Aid Training

Applications are open now through until the end of the day on Friday, February 27th, 2026.”
