Morning sunshine = free nervous system medicine ✨

Before your phone.
Before coffee.
Before the chaos.

Getting natural light in your eyes first thing in the morning is one of the most underrated wellness tools we have.

☀️ It tells your brain “It’s daytime” → helping set your circadian rhythm
☀️ It supports better cortisol timing → more energy in the morning, better sleep at night
☀️ It boosts mood + focus (hello natural serotonin + dopamine)
☀️ It helps your body know when to release melatonin later → deeper, more restorative sleep

And let’s be real — when you live somewhere the sun doesn’t show up until basically 9am 🙃 (hi northern life)… here’s what to do until the sun is out:

🌅 Turn on bright lights when you wake up
🪟 Sit by a window even if it’s dark or cloudy
🚶‍♀️ Step outside anyway — outdoor light still counts
💡 Use a light therapy lamp if mornings are extra dark

Then, as soon as that sun shows up?
Get your face in it. No sunglasses. Just natural light.

Just step outside, face the light, let it hit your eyes naturally for a few minutes. Even on cloudy days — it still works.

What if the most radical thing you do this holiday… is protect your peace? ⬇️

We talk a lot about boundaries, but what does setting them around the holidays actually look like?

✨It looks like being vulnerable enough to say what you need.
✨It looks like letting honesty win over people-pleasing.
✨And yes—sometimes it feels terrifying… even selfish because many of us were never taught that our needs matter too.

But here’s the truth:
When you set your energetic limits and actually stick to them,when you stop apologizing for honouring your capacity, something shifts.
Your nervous system softens.
Your body exhales.
Your energy stops leaking in a season that’s already overflowing with anger, resentment, sadness, grief, exhaustion, scarcity—the collective intensity that so many of us can feel even if we can’t name it.

So what does “No, I can’t” look like?
What does making space for you look like?
Peace.

This.

This is what it looks like.
