Sometimes the universe really does conspire in your favour.

Back in May 2024, after returning from Ontario, I had a tooth extracted — crowned, cracked, and no match for my clenching tendencies (jaw of steel, apparently). Knowing an implant was in my future, I chose to prepare instead of panic. I wore an Essix tray, held the vision, and trusted that the how and when would reveal themselves.

Fast forward to now.

A dentist I work with mentioned she was taking an implant course through the University of Alberta and needed five patients. Cue divine timing. ✨
Today, I officially received my implant — and I’m trying to smile under all the swelling.

Here’s the part that feels almost unbelievable: • Typical implant cost: $4,000–$5,000
• My cost:

– Implant + surgical guide: FREE
– Crown in 3–6 months: $250

When preparation meets opportunity, magic happens.

This experience reminded me that trusting the process doesn’t mean doing nothing — it means taking aligned steps while holding faith that things can work out better than expected.

This is the fire for our sweat lodge—warming the stones and the ancestors of the land.
This is my church. No walls. No roof. Just Earth, Spirit, and the Four Directions.
Before lodge, I make prayer ties in strands of 8, and we sing Lakota songs with reverence, honouring the lineage and the people they come from. When we say Mitakuye Oyasin — All My Relations, we remember that we belong to everything, and everything belongs to us.
This is not the only way. Just my way.
