“The first Sunday
after the first full moon
after the first equinox of the year,
rise early and lean outside
in the spiced air, listen to bells ringing.

Morning bells
bells of far churches
chuckling their delight for the advent of another spring
in a world that has dawned.

Easter
and already the snows have grown weary
they drop their coats
and troop back into the darkness.

Already the gale, barking wind
discards his piercing shrillness
and his iciness
he bounds forward on us warm and naked.

Already the distant sun, long aloof
forgets herself
wanders our way, smiling broadly.

Already the crocuses and daffodils
the jonquils, the dogwoods, the wisteria, even the white iris
alone in the field by my house
cast off their shyness, vulnerably
expose themselves before the world
unprotected and beautiful.

And it is spring. It is spring.

I look beyond the empty lot, out past
steeples that stand like toys
on the far street, suddenly

I see earth supple before me like a gardener
like a mother suckling rich seed-mouths
and they spring up.

They spring up, they spring up
in eudicotyledon splendor of living
resurrected in body once again.”

“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.”
- Rumi

In a remote oak grove of northern Greece, women known as the Peleiades, or “the Doves”, served as priestesses of Zeus, tending the oldest known oracle in the Greek world. These women listened not for thunderous commands, but for the sacred rustle of oak leaves, the ringing of bronze cauldrons, and the gentle cooing of birds. They divined messages through the sounds of the sanctuary itself, a holy conversation between wind, tree, and soul. And they did it collectively - as a group of women together rather than alone.

These priestesses held a power largely forgotten: the ability to listen deeply to the language of the birds. Not dramatic, nor loud but profound. Intuitive. Mystical.

“The Doves of Dodona”, was created to honor this ancient feminine lineage — and the sacred gifts that still live within us. It is a calling for your own tribe, a symbolic totem to be joined with other women of like minds, spirits and hearts. Even if that has yet to manifest itself physically in this realm, it reminds that it already is.

After all, here *we* are. If you close your eyes and listen, you can hear the beating hearts of a hundred other women that are also calling. Listening.

This piece is not just art, it is a remembrance. A reclamation.
A tangible reminder that neither your tribe nor your inner oracle is not - only waiting.

Because the Sisters are calling;

The Divine is always speaking;

and you have always known how to listen.

He walked with Jesus. He heard the teachings. He witnessed miracles. But proximity did not automatically lead to surrender.

It’s possible to be near what is holy, familiar with what is right, and still hold onto a heart that is divided. Judas reminds us that knowledge without surrender can coexist with broken desires, hidden motives, and unresolved inner conflict.

His story also exposes something uncomfortable, betrayal rarely begins suddenly.

It is often formed in small compromises, justifications, and unmet expectations that grow unchecked.

But there is another layer that should not be ignored. Judas’ failure is not meant to define the final word about human worth.

It points to the seriousness of the human condition apart from grace, and the reality that being close to truth is not the same as being transformed by it.

Let’s ask ourselves, “What do I do with what I have been shown?”

Closeness to truth invites responsibility.
Exposure to grace calls for response.
And familiarity with Jesus asks for surrender.

Far be it that we will be like Judas. 💔

Love and forgiveness are not separate acts but two currents of the same medicine. Love keeps the heart open, and forgiveness clears the path so that love can continue to flow without obstruction. Its significance lies in how it invites you to see both as sacred practices that return you to your original wholeness again and again.

💕 Shamanic Journey Invitation:
“Where in my heart is love asking to return, and what doorway of forgiveness must I walk through to meet it fully?”

This journey invites you to meet the place within you where love and forgiveness intertwine, revealing the deeper healing that becomes possible when both are allowed to move together.

Text on Image: “Love is the ancient healing that calls us back to one another across lifetimes. Forgiveness is the threshold love must cross, again and again, to keep the heart’s fire bright. Where love and forgiveness meet, the soul remembers the wholeness it carried from the Otherworld.”
