A couple of weeks ago we were still pulling carrots from the garden and walking around in sweatshirts. The weather/season changes up here are sure dramatic! lol 😂
At the end of April or beginning of May the snow piles that collected all winter will melt down quickly and we will have “spring” for a couple of weeks and then it will be blackfly season lol and then a few weeks later by the end of June, it will be summer for a few months and then fall. Fall and winter seems to be the longest seasons here lol. 🍂 ⛄️

Roads are closed! Hwy 11 to Kap and 655 to Timmins is closed because of road conditions. Stay home, shovel, drink hot chocolate, watch a Christmas movie and have fun in the snow! ⛄️

HIGHWAY CLOSURE: Highway 11 between Western Avenue in Cochrane and Riverside Drive in Kapuskasing is fully closed due to severe weather and poor visibility. Motorists are urged to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

🚨Winter storm watches for this week Cochrane friends! If you need any groceries etc from the store, you should do your shopping today! Make sure you have plenty of wood at hand for your wood stoves, candles, lanterns, mitts, hats and shovels ready!! Oh, and some board games and puzzles incase the power goes out! ☺️.

Mrs. Grinchfoot 💚 needed a foot trimming lol. She was getting so much snow and ice balls stuck to them. ❄️ She’s now Miss Prettyfoot again lol. ☺️

Not super fond of water? It takes some getting used to when you’re not used to drinking something “plain” but you will enjoy when you get used to it!
In the meantime, you can add a little lemon juice to your water. It has many health benefits!
You can also drop some sliced cucumber or fruit in it to add flavour! Just don’t get that “flavoured” water from the store! Now that is no good for you!

I’ve been working out, snowshoeing and trying to remember to drink my water. I just got this watch/tracker that tracks my heartbeat, my steps and reminds me to drink my water! (Besides many other things this gadget does lol). I’ve been using apps and a coach to help keep me on track and motivated by milestones. This little meme is a kick in the pants too! Where will you be in six months? A little healthier? A little worse off?
I’m working towards 6 months of progress!! 💪🏻😎🙌🏻❤️
