We put a lot of our attention in our client's structural balance because we believe the benefits of finding a stronger center can lead to better biomechanics, performance, and greatly reduce the risk of injury or pain, to name of a few.

Our structural strategies are unique and diverse, and can be implemented in-person or virtually. We love getting stronger, but in the right places, not strengthening dysfunction but instead finding a better balance.

This is a work in-progress as our bodies always respond to our changing environment so it's fair to say that structural focus always remains part of all our programs. We believe this process is enriching for our clients, and we hear the same feedback, because it encourages them to be more mindful, self-managed, and patient with themselves.

"Working with Ty as my personal trainer has been one of the best investments I've made for my physical health. He uses his vast knowledge of human anatomy to uncover muscular weaknesses I didn’t know I had, then design programs to strengthen them using exercises that meet me where I am, plus a little challenge. His toolbox is so comprehensive that he has multiple ways to assess and alleviate any discomforts I’ve felt in my body.
Ty communicates exceptionally well and has such a positive and kind energy that I never feel frustrated by my body’s short comings - even when I am recovering from injury.
I have trained with him in person, virtually, and via the app - he has provided the same level of attention in all modalities. If you can, train with him in person because he can offer manual therapies and assessments that are more difficult (but not impossible) to do virtually.
With his guidance, I feel I am transforming my body so I can age gracefully with a level of strength and mobility I didn't know my body could attain. He is truly my partner in my physical fitness and I am grateful to have found him!"

On Monday of this week, our family expanded with the birth of our beautiful daughter...

Wren, Eva Boucher, Woolner

I'm in awe of my wife , for the birthing experience she so strongly pushed for and received.

I'm so proud of our son, Finley, who is the caring and loving brother I knew he'd be, because it's just who he is.

I'm grateful for the hands-on support of our family who have made this transitional week easier as we land here in our new family dynamic.

And me, well, I'm feeling blessed in many ways, despite the expected fatigue and many shifts I'm experiencing. Being a father is my most important role and I'm fortunate to be granted that role once again. ☺️❤️

1️⃣Accessibility
Train anywhere in the world with a wifi signal and a bit of space. I often travel with my clients in this way as they will continue their training while they're away due to this benefit.

2️⃣Convenience
There's something to be said about the benefits of saving on time, commuting, and planning to get to the gym. Especially in the colder months, my clients appreciate the convenience of their fitness program coming straight to their home in this capacity.

3️⃣Independance
Virtual training does build a different kind of muscle than that of in-person training. Because I can't be there physically to help with touch queuing or release work, my clients become very skilled, themselves, at managing their bodies.

4️⃣ Minimalism
You really don't need a lot of equipment to make continued progress towards pain-free stronger movement. Many of my clients only have dumbbells, a Swiss ball and bands and yet get exposed to a variety of exercises and methods to keep them engaged and progressing.

5️⃣Cost
I can't speak for other trainers or coaches, but my virtual training rates are less than my in-person rates, and yet my knowledge, my programming, and my attention remain of the highest value. My clients are often surprised at how quickly I can troubleshoot issues as they come up, despite the physical distance.

My clients' structural alignment is something I'm always aware of because it influences my decision making.

My goal is to help my clients achieve their goals, all while creating better balance in their bodies so they become more resilient and deal with less physical pain in their lives. I do my best to educate and empower them through that process so they begin to understand better self-care practices for their unique needs.

It doesn't matter if my clients are working with me in-person, virtually, or through online programming, as my approach will always come from a knowingness that structure matters.

Exercises, like variations of the Paloff Press, are excellent for engaging and strengthening the lateral line.

This important Fascial line stabilizes the body, especially during lateral movement. It can also help bring better balance to, both, the anterior and posterior chains, contributing to more structural balance.

My clients all work their lateral line throughout their programs, and those who are involved in rotational dominant sports, notice the positive impact it has on their performance and mitigating potential injury.
