Assessment and treatment is in private treatment rooms, and we have a large, bright open gym for one-on-one guided exercise therapy. We also provide the luxury of in-house sports medicine and massage therapy. The Comox Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Our growing physiotherapy clinic requires a part-time receptionist to join our team.
A minimum of 15 hours per week.

This position requires a positive, professional attitude with Grade 12 education.

Duties include the ability to multi-task in a very fast paced environment, be an effective communicator with clients and team members, be team oriented, comfortable with computers, and able to work independently.

One year customer Service Experience, Clinic Master/EMR and WCB/ICBC Billing would be considered an asset.

Due to Covid-19, our office is mandated to a strict cleaning regime therefore, the successful candidate must be comfortable around cleaning products that may have a scent.

Coastal Physiotherapy is very happy to announce that we will be re-opening our doors to in person treatments startingTuesday, May 19th! We have been preparing for this moment over the last several weeks and will be making the final preparations to our space, schedules and protocols this week as everyone's safety remains our top priority. There will be some changes to our policies and procedures, but with your cooperation we hope to make the transition to the "new normal" as smooth as possible. Our dedicated front staff are ready to take your phone calls and help you book your appointments. Our online booking system is now open as well to help serve you. If you do not feel comfortable, or are unable to attend in person sessions, we are still offering our online physiotherapy or telerehabilitation service that you can do from anywhere you have an internet connection. We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to see you in person again!

It is our pleasure to announce that we are now ready to offer telerehabilitation appointments to our clients! Telerehabilitation or virtual care is a way to connect with a physiotherapist via technology so they may assess your injury or condition and then provide treatment in the form of education, guidance, exercises and/or self mobilization techniques to help you achieve your goals. All that is required is a computer, tablet or cellphone to access our secure video platform. Many insurance plans are now including coverage for such treatments. We are now also seeing approved claims for WSBC and ICBC. Please call our office to leave a message or email us and we will contact you to provide more information and help you set up an appointment. Together we can help you move forward during this unprecedented time.

In accordance with recommendations set forth by our regulatory body, the provincial and federal health authorities and in the interest of public safety we regret to announce that our office will remain closed to in person appointments until further notice. However, your health and well being are very important to us and we understand that just because COVID-19 demands physical distancing doesn't mean pain and disability disappear. As such we are working hard to implement an alternative to in person treatments called virtual care or telerehabilitation. Unfortunately, based on recommendations from our national association and regulatory college and in the interest of public safety we will be closing for the next 2 weeks. We will be calling anyone booked in that period to re-book them tentatively starting the week of March 30th. We are in the office today but will be checking the voicemail and email regularly to assist you with any question you may have and to help you re-book. We will try to keep you informed of any changes. Stay safe everyone.

In an effort to protect our vulnerable patients from the COVID-19 virus, we are SUSPENDING handshake greetings and we will not be charging for late-cancellations due to illness.

Please help us halt the transmission of this (and all viruses) by STAYING HOME if you are sick.

Our therapists and staff will continue to maintain our high standard of hand-washing and sanitation of the clinic. However, please be patient with our staff as they may require extra time to clean at or above the recommended guidelines set out by BCCDC and the BC Ministry of Health.

We would appreciate your use of the provided hand sanitizer when you arrive for your appointment.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will be complying with recommendations set forth by Vancouver Island Health Authority, BCCDC and the BC Ministry of Health.

It’s a new year and a new look for Coastal Physiotherapy. Our expansion and renovation is almost complete. Just a few touch ups and finishing touches left to do(like art work). Here’s just a few pictures, but come by and say hi to have a look for yourself.
