Just learned a ton from Brainnovation on ADHD. Quick insight I wish more people heard: many ADHD brains don’t lack focus—they need interest and timely rewards, and emotions can feel huge. For those of us with FND + ADHD, that combo can be exhausting. You’re not alone and you’re not “too much.” We can practice regulate first, then reason so choices come from steadiness, not fear. If this speaks to you, you don’t need to navigate alone. thrive‑together‑network.com

If you’ve ever felt called to the mic but didn’t know how to get the invite, this is for you.

Laurie Mabelis is hosting a powerful 3‑day experience to help mission‑driven voices step onto stages with clarity and confidence. As someone championing brain health, FND, ADHD, and reducing stigma through lived experience and Adlerian practice, I’m here for it—and I’m ready to amplify hope for patients, families, and medical professionals worldwide.

Laurie, I love your foundation‑first approach to visibility and trust transfer from the host. I’d be honored to join you as a guest on an upcoming project or panel to bring a patient‑centered, nervous‑system‑informed lens to the conversation. If your audience includes clinicians, educators, and advocates who want practical language, care pathways, and stigma‑reducing strategies, I can deliver a tight, actionable talk that moves hearts and hands.

If you’re attending, save your seat and let’s ripple this message together.

When Your Brain with Hits “Threat Mode” — Here’s Your Lifeline 💛

🔥 FND friends… know this feeling? Prefrontal cortex goes offline under stress. Amygdala yells “THREAT.” Tiny triggers feel HUGE… and for some of us, non‑epileptic seizures can hit like lightning. You’re not broken. Your brain is signalling for balance. 💫

Victoria English’s infographic nails this nervous‑system flood for our FND community too — when mixed‑up messages streak through neural networks and leave us wiped out and wondering what’s next. I’m grateful for her practical brain‑health content. 🙏

Here’s a simple DBT lifeline you can try today: • Ground: STOP + breathe. Try 4‑7‑8. Inhale 4. Hold 7. Exhale 8 like through a straw. 🫁
• Externalize: Journal the spiral. Discharge the tough stuff into words, art, or music. ✍️🎨
• Micro‑plan: After a flare, choose one tiny step toward the win you want. 1% counts. ✅

Overwhelm isn’t weakness — it’s your brain asking for regulation and support. You are not alone here. 💛

How do YOU find calm when symptoms feel “too much”? Drop one thing that helps you below — your story helps us all. ⬇️

Want a free resource? Comment “DBT” and I’ll send you my Thrive Through Challenges: Practical DBT Skills Guide — free. 📘

With gratitude to Victoria English for the powerful visual. I’ll put her post/link in the first comment so it displays clean.
