Our measurements for serving our patients safely in COVID-19 crisis:

-Providing Virtual care via video and phone call

-Medication refills over the phone

-Mental health care and counselling over the phone or video conference

-Booking daily over the phone only

-Limiting in-person visits to those medical conditions that mandate a physical exam and only to non-respiratory infections

-Seeing only one patient at a time for in-person visits

-Waiting area is closed and patients are guided to the treatment rooms directly from parking lot

-Disinfecting rooms after each visit

Over the last few days we had some patients that had serious conditions but they had avoided or delayed going to the Emergency departments.

Currently all the Hospitals, ERs and other health care facilities follow very well-planned protocols to minimize the chance of transmitting infections and it is safe to visit these facilities if the medical condition needs an urgent care. Some serious medical conditions can be even more life-threatening than COVID-19.

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is urging British Columbians not to ignore urgent medical matters or skip scheduled vaccinations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
