Our residents had a delightful Easter celebration with the Easter Bunny visiting and the delicious treats prepared by the chef! Cookies and chocolate mousse was a sweet touch to the festivities, making it a memorable event for everyone. Thank you to our little helpers!

This Easter weekend was enriched by various meaningful events including a special Easter Communion service and a live Saturday church service that fostered faith and spirit. Additionally, the visits from All Saints Parish, which involved delivering flowers and cards to residents, added a heartfelt touch, spreading joy and connection throughout the community.

February was a busy month for our residents! A group of eager residents went to visit the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver. The group enjoyed interactive exhibits and learned about the universe, expanding their knowledge and sparking their curiosity about space!

The Madison also enjoyed a lively Valentine’s Day with students from Porter Elementary School, filled with fun crafts, engaging bingo games and an abundance of sweet treats for everyone to share! Intergenerational programs are very enriching for not only our residents, but students as well. These experiences ultimately create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all generations.

The Madison Care Center would like to say thank once again The Phoenix Ensemble for their performances over the past year and a half. Being a local volunteer youth band that aims to bring student musical talent to the community, the ensemble has performed for over a dozen senior homes across the Tri-Cities. They've performed 3 times at The Madison alone, with February being the last. They have come every few months, in which both staff and seniors have had the joy of listening to their music from diverse instruments and genres. As this group of high school students enters post-secondary education, we wish them luck in all of their endeavours in the future and hope to see them continue to serve their communities!

The Madison Care Centre hosted the Annual Family & Resident Christmas Party on December 3rd. There was a huge turn out of family and friends who enjoyed music, food and drinks with their loved ones. There was even a special visit from the big guy himself along with his little helper!
