Taking a moment each day to notice what you’re grateful for isn’t just a “feel-good” exercise—it actually rewires your brain to handle stress more easily, sleep more soundly, and connect more deeply with others.

Even small steps, like listing 3 things you appreciate daily, can create a gentle ripple of positive change in your life.

Emotional avoidance often starts as protection.
We learn early that certain emotions are “too much,” so we push them down, stay busy, or pretend we’re fine — hoping they’ll fade on their own.

But emotions don’t disappear when ignored; they wait. They build pressure, surfacing as irritability, numbness, or exhaustion.

Facing your emotions doesn’t mean drowning in them — it means letting yourself acknowledge what’s real so it can finally pass through.
Feeling is how we heal.

If you’re ready to explore your emotions in a safe, supportive space, our counselors can help—Visit the link in bio to learn more or book a session.💛

Shame is one of the most common themes our Registered Clinical Counsellors explore with high performing & high achieving women in therapy - it is often something that has been un-named or unacknowledged, and shows up initially as burnout, stress, anger, or anxiety. There’s almost always something deeper to dig into and process, and through the work of therapy there can be so much space for creating a new and so much more meaningful future template. Whether we see you in our therapy rooms or not, we wish you well(ness) in your world and all the support you could imagine in building a life that feels truly worth living. 🤍

💭 Imagine feeling so safe you find YOU... That’s the most precious gift of therapy. ✨

Did you know the number one predictor of good outcomes in therapy is feeling a good fit with your therapist, not the type of therapy you are doing?

When we feel seen, understood, unjudged, and supported, and have trust in the person we are with, we are allowed the experience of emotional safety.

That means that no matter what state we show up in, we have the experience of it being ok to just be in SELF... And then - to have someone WITH us in it all? Well, that is the root of all we humans need in terms of connection, self-worth, self-compassion, and so much more. Acceptance through emotional safety is one of the greatest gifts of therapy - because more and more the masks we dawn can be taken off, cast aside, and shattered - more and more we can integrate into a fuller sense of ME.

So find a therapist who you feel gets you, where you believe your tears, fears, and all things uncomfortable are welcomed. Let that be the beginning of the work, the underlying goal, the place to grow from. And then, stick with it - give yourself the chance to step deeper and deeper into yourSELF with the professional care and support you need along the way.

Wishing more women could see that being nice isn’t the goal. Self-abandonment isn’t the answer, and you don’t owe anyone a “yes,” but it’s up to you to protect your peace. Boundaries over burnout, gals! 🤍

Your body and mind are always in conversation. When stress builds up, your digestion often feels it too — think bloating, discomfort, or loss of appetite.
Gentle movement reminds your body it’s safe to rest again. Even 10 minutes of slow walking or light stretching can help your nervous system reset.

✨ Support your body, calm your mind — one step at a time.
