We are so grateful to the Alexandria Dart League for their generous donation of $1,300 in support of our Meal Program.

These funds will help us continue to provide home-cooked meals delivered directly to seniors in their homes.

Receiving the cheque are Alexandria Supervisor Jackie Lalonde and Fundraising Manager Rhonda Simpson, along with representatives Tammy Pilon, Francois Leclerc and Joanne Michaud.

We were fortunate to welcome our MP, Eric Duncan (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry), to our Centres yesterday as part of his busy day of visits. It was a great opportunity to connect and collaborate on ideas as we look ahead to the new year.

January is Alzheimer Awareness Month and 2026 is the UN Year of the Volunteer so it's a perfect time to talk about the cognitive benefits of volunteering. In our January blog we review how giving to others can also give back to you.

If volunteering is one of your New Year's Resolutions, now it a perfect time to reach out as we have volunteering opportunities available across Carefor from volunteer driving to friendly visiting.

Studies show that volunteering can slow cognitive decline in seniors. Right now is a perfect time to do some good for yourself and others.

Our Alexandria Centre held their Meat Pie & Pecan Pie Fundraiser, raising an impressive $1,824. Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful initiative! As a not for profit organization, we are so appreciative of every donation to continue to provide care and support to Seniors in our area!!
