The last Thursday of each month is Testimonial Thursday, and today we’re honoured to share this heartfelt message from one of our families.

As parents of a Grade 6 child, watching our son struggle with bullying was absolutely heartbreaking 💔 He became quiet, anxious, sad and unsure of himself.

After completing the RAGE program, we saw real and lasting changes 🌟 He learned how to understand his feelings, respond calmly, stand up for himself, and recognize that he was not responsible for the bullying. Most importantly, he regained his confidence 🙌

RAGE didn’t just give him tools — it gave him his voice back! We are incredibly grateful — especially to the principal who referred us to Sheila Tallon & Associates. That support made all the difference.

There was no wait list, which meant he received help right away when he needed it most. The entire process felt supportive and accessible for our family.🌿

I have been seeing Sheila for the past three years, and I can honestly say this is the first time therapy has truly helped me. After years of trying to heal, I finally found a place that feels safe, nurturing, and genuinely supportive. Unresolved trauma doesn’t always look like sadness or fear.

Often, it shows up as anger.

When the nervous system has learned to stay on high alert, even small stressors can trigger intense, automatic reactions. This isn’t a character flaw or lack of self-control, it’s a protective response shaped by unprocessed experiences.

One of the biggest myths about anger is that people should just “control it.”

Real healing doesn’t come from suppression or willpower alone. It comes from safely addressing and unpacking what’s underneath.
