Join us in welcoming more than 430 new and returning members to our Good Food Organizations program for 2026!

To realize the Right to Food for all, communities must mobilize for change, while also building strong, resilient and dignified places for food. That’s exactly what our Good Food Organization (GFO) partners work on every day!

For 12 years, the Good Food Organization program has grown. We’ve deepened relationships with partners who have been with us since the beginning and those who have joined along the way. Each GFO brings with them inspiring new models, leadership, and strength.

At a time when solidarity is central to transformative change that’s required to address food insecurity, the GFO program creates vital spaces for shared learning, connection and support.

These inspiring GFOs help fill some of the gaps for the over 10 million community members experiencing food insecurity, and there is a role for everyone to advocate alongside them for the policies that are needed to shift from emergency to a future where the right to food is realized for everyone.

Black History Month is about honouring history. It is also about listening to what families are telling us right now.

In Canada, Black mothers continue to experience dismissal, bias, and barriers in perinatal care. Those realities shape breastfeeding journeys, confidence, and whether or not a family feels supported or alone.

Support must see the whole person.

At La Leche League Canada, we are committed to building spaces where Black families feel respected, reflected, and heard.

Our BIPOC Group exists because representation matters. Shared experience and culturally responsive support can impact the duration of breastfeeding and help prevent early weaning.

If you are looking for community that understands, we invite you to connect with our BIPOC group. Every family deserves support that sees the whole of who they are.
