π Epicure Is Back β And Better Than Ever
The iconic Canadian brand that changed the way North America cooks, eats, and gathers.
March 2026
What happens when a beloved Canadian brand closes its doors β and then refuses to stay gone? You get one of the most heartfelt comeback stories in North American food history.
Epicure, the company that spent nearly three decades helping millions of families put real, wholesome food on the table in 20 minutes or less, is writing a bold new chapter. Founded in Victoria, BC, shuttered in early 2025, and relaunched with renewed passion and new Canadian ownership, Epicure is once again the go-to brand for clean, healthy, allergen-friendly meal solutions coast to coast.
π Where It All Began
Epicure was born in the early 1990s in a Victoria, BC basement. Founder Sylvie Rochette β a passionate home cook with a gift for flavour β handcrafted four spice blends and brought them to a Central Saanich farmers market. She made $286 on her very first day. That spark became a fire. Originally incorporated as Victorian Epicure Inc., the company grew from Sylvie's basement into a thriving national business. By 1996, it shifted to a direct-sales model, connecting real people in real kitchens across Canada. In 2003, operations moved to a 33-hectare campus in North Saanich, BC β the heartland of Epicure ever since
