I am now an approved doula with the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program!

The DAFGP supports aboriginal families in acquiring labor, birth, and postpartum doula support without the financial burden holding many back from the support they deserve!

🔴 A Doula is NOT a medical professional. They do not perform medical procedures or make medical decisions.

2025 was a year of growth!

I had the honor of supporting many new families!

I was able to witness many become new parents, and other families expand.
I was given the opportunity to support both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
And I unofficially supported virtually after unfortunately missing a delivery for the first time
*born 4 weeks early*
I continued to grow and evolve my own practices and material to better support my clients.

And that was only the first half of the year!

I also completed a family after giving birth to my 5th surrogate baby via a cesarean.

My hope for 2026 is to continue growing as a doula to better support growing families!

Thank you to all those that made 2025 a memorable year. Wishing everyone another year filled with joy and adventure!

Did You Know:

There is no right or wrong time to add in a Doula to your support team?!
You can have a doula support you from the beginning of your pregnancy or even earlier. You can have one join the final weeks of your pregnancy. Depending on availability, a doula may even join your support team just before the big event!

2024 was the year of new beginnings!

I started providing doula services to the East Kootenay region and rebranded my practice name.

I was beyond grateful to be a visitor during Indigenous Milk Medicine Week so I may better support the Indigenous community I reside within.

I started a beautiful working relationship with our local birthing professionals while supporting and witnessing the most magnificent births!

2024 was an amazing first year of growth and learning and I look forward to all that 2025 will bring!

I am so grateful to be a welcome visitor during the Indigenous Milk Medicine Conference.

Throughout the next several days, I will be learning so much regarding Milk Medicine Traditions and how I may implement them properly within my care providing as a Doula.

As a visitor, being able to honor the traditions and practices of my Indigenous community is a gift I will not take for granted.

Babies are born extremely nearsighted, which means they can only see things about eight to 15 inches away. That also happens to be the distance between your face and your baby's face when breastfeeding. So when your baby locks eyes with you, it’s a true bonding moment.
