Our medical herbalists are also available for consultations.Learning Centre: we offer classes on a great variety of topics for all ages, even children and teens. If you need any of your remedies during that time please let us know right away and we will have it for you on Saturday. If you let us know now we can also have your remedies ready for pick up on Wednesday morning if you prefer.

Now more than ever our world needs kindness. Kindness heals, kindness nurtures, kindness can change the world.

On Thursday November 13/ 25 we invite you to join all of us at Tilia as we celebrating World Kindness Day 2025. The objective of World Kindness Day is to spread kindness with small gestures. The main tradition of the day is to be kind and to try and encourage kindness. Whether it’s helping out someone with chores, taking the time out to ask how someone is doing, or simply smiling at someone, the name of the game is kindness, and we all have it in us.

In honour of this day, we will be giving away free Kindness Cookie recipes and bags of organic cinnamon to add to your cookies. All we ask is that on November 13th, as an act of kindness, you share the cookies you bake with someone else.

The recipe and cinnamon will be available at our shop from Tuesday November 4th through the 13th for you to pick up. We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Happy Camper Malas to offer this fun and creative workshop designed just for parents (adult family members) and their kids ages 5+. In the workshop they'll learn about the most popular essential oils that they can use with the gem & lava bead bracelet that they’ll create during the class. By the end of the class each participant will be leaving with their own custom essential oil blend along with their handmade aromatherapy bracelet.

DATE: Saturday November 8/25 from 9:30 AM - Noon

COST: $79 + GST (Essential Oil Blend and Mala Bracelet Included for each person) Cost is for 1 parent and 1 child (Ages 5+). Additional children from the same family $15 each. Today's the day!

The long-awaited first panel in our apothecary botanical art series has been put up at Tilia. Artist Emily Jayden has done an amazing job, and we can't wait to see the additional art panels she'll be doing over the next year.

Two of the most prolific and medicinal plants in the Creston Valley, Mullein and Dandelion, are featured in this panel. Mullein leaf is the premier herb for coughs and colds and also has a role supporting digestive and urinary health. The root helps to lubricate joints and vertebrae. Dandelion, simply put, is one of the most valuable herbs we have. Every part of this herb is used for both food and medicine. From wine and fritters to digestion and cleansing (and pretty much everything in between!), this herb is a powerhouse of healing.

We have a brand new tea that we know you're going to love. We have blended plants from around the world to create a deliciously unique flavour experience. Together Honeybush from South Africa, Olive leaf from Greece, Fenugreek from India, Cinnamon from Sri lanka, Pau d'arco from Brazil, and, of course, Labrador tea from Canada all happily come together to create our "Herbs of the World" tea.
