So this is an example of why I cant really give eta to up coming machines when I say some take more work then others. This machine was originally booked in to have the chute put back on something had landed on it in a wind storm causing the chute to snap clean off. Thankfully for the customer this style literally snaps back on with clips. But unfortunately when I picked the machine up the engine was locked solid unbeknown to the customer as when last used it worked A-1. I had a quick diagnosis of it being potentially hydro locked(meaning the carburetor failed and gas filled the engine block) once at my shop I did my usual investigation and attempt to release the engine and nothing it was still seized solid. So digging deeper i was investigating inside the motor via the spark plug hole i could see something foreign inside using a special tool i was able to get inside and remove a small portion and determined it was ice. So I began tearing into other parts of the fuel system and cranked the bunker heaters to fried chicken temps lol once the carburetor was removed I discovered it was frozen solid as well. Shhhh dont tell my boss the next part 😉 using her good expensive hair dryer I started to warm the engine up as I thoroughly warmed and cleaned the carburetor out after (pics 2&3) about 30 minutes I started getting movement in the engine after leaving the machine to warm even more i left the bunker to cool off because it was waaay to warm. Apon my return a while later I had full movement back in the engine so following the normal procedure to clear the internal portion of the engine i then added some marvel mystery oil to help lubricate and clean the internal components of the engine. The last Picture is what the oil looks like after a second oil change. So the next steps will be to add more fresh oil run long enough to warm up and mix all contamination into the oil and drain this step has to be repeated until the machine has nice clea looking contamination free oil. During this process in between steps I am also completing a full service.
